One of the MSCA members who is pretty savvy at finding automotive bargains, that are actually fun, told me some time ago he had a surprise.

I was indeed surprised when I watched him zip into a parking space in front of our breakfast spot. It had been years since I’d seen a Toyota MR2, and I had never seen the Spyder trim, in white. It…was…beautiful.
This mid-engine sports car came at the time where Toyotas weren’t nearly as famous for their reliability, as they are today. Its existence went against the stereotypical notion that Toyotas were just good, simple, but boring cars.

Due to a keen eye, and a good mechanic, he was able to secure a pretty clean example, given it’s almost two decades in existence. Unfortunately, as much as he enjoyed it and I wanted him to hang on to it, he was made an offer he couldn’t refuse. Now she’s gone.
